Commissioning with the FCT (overview)

4.3.1 Overview of commissioning steps

4−12
Detailed information about commissioning with the FCT can
be found in the Help for the FCT CMAX plug−in.
Information for specialists concerning commissioning via the
CPX node can be found in the CMAX communication profile"
description.
The following steps are typically carried out during commis
sioning:
1. If necessary, check the structure of the positioning
system with the components used on the axis string
(see section 4.2.1).
2. Check the power supply of the CPX terminal and switch on
the power supply (see section 4.2.2).
Caution: Leave the compressed air supply switched off for
the moment.
3. Create or open a project in the FCT. Add a new component
with the CMAX plug−in.
4. Establish a connection (online) between the PC and CMAX
via the FCT toolbar.
5. When CMAX is in its delivery status (display: C00), the
configuration wizard is started automatically when the
device connection is being established.
The CMAX can be configured with and without connected
components (in the office"). If the valve and sensor inter
face have been connected, the CMAX automatically de
tects the hardware after being switched on. The data de
tected here is accepted by the FCT. If commissioning is
done without components, all data must be entered.
