Flow charts for programming

4.6.1 Establish ready status

4−38
In the following, you will find flow charts for controlling the
CMAX via I/Os for typical applications.
Additional information can be found in the CMAX communi
cation profile" description.
Requirements
Operating voltage and valve load voltage OFF.
The fieldbus master is ready for communication so that
communication is established as soon as the CPX terminal
is switched on. If that isn't the case, after establishing
communication, an additional waiting time for changing
the byte order must be planned.
Instructions
All enable bits (enable, stop, brake) can be set at the
same time from the beginning. Accordingly, acknowledge
ments can be evaluated simultaneously.
When exchanging components, the movement test will be
reset automatically, if necessary. The status of the move
ment tests should therefore be checked after switching on
and, if necessary, re−executed automatically or with
prompts.
The operating mode should be set at a central control
location in its own module. See also section 4.6.4.
If CMAX signals a malfunction, all expected status signals
can no longer be signalled, depending on the malfunction.
The evaluation, e.g. of SCON.ENABLED or SCON.OPEN
should then be aborted.
