Chapter 5 Special Effects Operations
This function applies a blurring akin to camera shake.
In the PICTURE MODIFY menu, press F2 (DEFOCUS) to display
the DEFOCUS menu.

DEFOCUS menu soft key indications
The following are some of the operations carried out in this menu.
Use the following procedure.

Press F1 (DEFOCUS), turning it on.

Adjust the "DEFOCUS" Video and Key parameters as
follows.
Item Setting
"Video" Apply defocusing
to the video
"Video Y" Apply defocusing
to the luminance
component of the
video signal.
"Video C" Apply defocusing
to the
chrominance
component of the
video signal.
Apply defocusing
"Key"
to the key
Knob adjustments of parameters
Left ("H"): degree of defocusing
horizontally (*** )
Center ("V"): degree of defocusing
vertically (*** )
Right ("All"): degree of defocusing
horizontally and vertically (*** )
(The settings are reflected in the separate
Video Y and Video C settings.)
Left ("H"): degree of defocusing
horizontally (0 to 100%)
Center ("V"): degree of defocusing
vertically (0 to 100%)
Right ("All"): degree of defocusing
horizontally and vertically (*** )
(The "All" setting is reflected in the
separate horizontal and vertical settings.)
