Use either of the following methods to enter the characters of
the file name one by one (maximum eight alphanumeric
characters).
• Click with the cursor on the required character on the on-
screen keyboard.
• Use the control knobs to highlight the required character on
the on-screen keyboard in light red, and press the SEL/FINE
button.
Left knob ( ): move the light red highlighted character
horizontally.
Center knob ( ): move the light red highlighted character
vertically.
Right knob ( ): delete the last input character.
The characters which you select appear in a name input
window.

Press F8 (OK) or the ENTER button.
This renames the file.
To cancel the renaming operation
Press F7 (CANCEL).
When you specified more than one file
Once one file has been renamed, the system prompts again
with the number of the next file to be renamed. Repeat steps 5
and 6 to enter the required file name.
This process is repeated until all of the specified files have
been renamed.
