Troubleshooting
Where you begin troubleshooting depends upon the symptoms of the failure.
Start by checking the basics as outlined in the following section.

Check the Basics

The hardware does not support "hot-swap" (changing network analyzer
modules while power is applied to the chassis) capabilities. Before
installing or removing a module to/from the chassis, power-off the chassis
to prevent damage to the module.
1. Is there power at the mains receptacle?
2. Is the chassis powered on? Check to see if the LED for the chassis line
3. Is the analyzer powered on? Check to see if the analyzer's front panel LED
4. If the chassis has power applied, but the power switch LED is not on, and
5. If multiple analyzer P937xA's are present, make sure the cables connecting

Explanation of power switch LED colors:
—OFF: Power supply off. P937XA VNA is disconnected from the external
power supply.
—AMBER: Power supply is connected, but instrument power button
switch is off.
—GREEN: Power button is on.
Explanation of Status LED colors:
—OFF: Power supply off. P937XA VNA is disconnected from the external
power supply.
—AMBER: Power supply is on, but no firmware is in control.
—GREEN: Firmware is in control; analyzer is probably idle.
—FLASHING GREEN: A sweep or measurement has been triggered.
the fans are not turning, then suspect this is due to a defective power
switch. Consider changing the power switch by refer to
Replacement Procedure" on page
If the problem still persists, then the chassis A1 could be at fault. Refer to
"Chassis Replacement Procedure" on page
the P937xA's are fully inserted on the front panels.
