Parameters for configuring the input and output using
NPN and PNP.
These parameters cannot be adjusted while the motor is
running.
5-00 Digital Input Mode
Option: Function:
Set NPN or PNP mode for digital inputs 18, 19 and 27.
Digital Input Mode
[0] PNP Action on positive directional pulses (0). PNP systems
are pulled down to GND.
[1] NPN Action on negative directional pulses (1). NPN systems
are pulled up to +24 V, internally in the adjustable
frequency drive.
5-03 Digital Input 29 Mode
Option:

3.6.2 5-1* Digital Inputs
Parameters for configuring the input functions for the
input terminals.
The digital inputs are used for selecting various functions
in the adjustable frequency drive. All digital inputs can be
set to the following functions:
Digital input

[0] No operation
[1] Reset
[2] Coast inverse
[3] Coast and reset

Function:
PNP
NPN
Description
No reaction to signals transmitted to
terminal.
Resets Adjustable frequency drive after a
TRIP/ALARM. Not all alarms can be reset.
Leaves motor in free mode. Logic '0' =>
coasting stop.
(Default Digital input 27): Coasting stop,
inverted input (NC).
Reset and coasting stop inverted input
(NC). Leaves motor in free mode and
resets the Adjustable frequency drive.
Logic '0' ⇒ coasting stop and reset.

Description
Inverted input (NC). Generates a stop in
accordance with the quick stop ramp time
set in 3-81 Quick Stop Ramp Time. When
the motor stops, the shaft is in free mode.
motor by energizing it with DC current for
a certain time period, see 2-01 DC Brake
Current. Function is only active when
value in 2-02 DC Braking Time is different
from 0. This selection is not possible
when 1-10 Motor Construction is set to [1]
PM non-salient SPM.
Stop inverted function. Generates stop
function when selected terminal goes
from logical level "1" to "0" (not latched).
The stop is performed according to the
selected ramp time.
but External Interlock generates the alarm
message 'external fault' on the display
when the terminal which is programmed
for Coast Inverse is logic '0'. The alarm
message will also be active via digital
outputs and relay outputs, if programmed
for External Interlock. The alarm can be
reset using a digital input or the [Reset]
key if the cause for the External Interlock
has been removed.
Select start for a start/stop command.
Logic '1' = start, logic '0' = stop. (Default
Digital input 18)
Motor starts, if a pulse is applied for min.
2 ms. Motor stops when Stop inverse is
activated.
Change the direction of the motor shaft
rotation. Reversing signal only changes
the direction of rotation; it does not
activate the start function. Select [2] Both
directions in 4-10 Motor Speed Direction. 0
= normal, 1 = reversing.
Use for start/stop and for reversing at the
same time. Signals on [8] start are not
allowed at the same time. 0 = stop, 1 =
start reversing.
Used for activating jog speed. See
3-11 Jog Speed [Hz]. (Default Digital input
29)
Enables a choice between one of the
eight preset references according to
Table 3.5.
