Enabling the user "SINAMICS" and/or "Administrator"
The "SINAMICS" user and the "Administrator" user can be enabled with their own specific
rights. You can also set whether password protection will be active for the "SINAMICS" user.
To enable a user and activate a password, proceed as follows:
1. Activate the "Enable SINAMICS user" option.
AND / OR
2. Activate the "Enable administrator user" option.
Creating a password for the user "SINAMICS" and/or "Administrator"
You can use this function both ONLINE and OFFLINE. You can create a password for
"SINAMICS" and "Administrator" users as follows:
1. Click on "Specify password".
The "Specify password" dialog opens.

2. Enter the new password in the "New password" input field. Pay attention to upper and
lower case.
3. Repeat the password in the "Confirm password" field.
For security reasons, the password entries displayed in the input fields are encrypted.
4. Click "OK" to confirm the input in the password dialog.
The input dialog is closed if both password entries match. If both entries do not match,
the input dialog box remains open and an error message is displayed. At the same time,
the two entries in the input dialog are cleared. In this case, you must re-enter the
password into the input fields.
5. Save the project to accept the settings.
