Cause
An error has occurred during printer
start up.
Printer not set up correctly or
hardware failure.
Error reading film tag.
Error reading ribbon tag.
The flattener is too hot.
A card is jammed in the card flipping
area of the printer.
The flipper table is jammed or
non-functional.
The EE setting in printer driver for
head resistance is out of range.
A hardware fault has prevented
setting the correct printhead voltage.
This is a problem with the printhead
lift.
The transfer heater roller is too hot.
An unauthorized ribbon is installed in
the printer.
Troubleshooting

problem persists, call for technical
assistance.

Open the printer flipping module
cover.
Clear any cards in the flipping
module by opening the printer cover
and pressing the Forward and/or
Back buttons located on the printer

rotate freely. Close the printer
flipping module cover.
Press Resume on the printer display
to continue printing.
To cancel the print, click Cancel Print
from the HID Printer Status Monitor.
Enter a value for Head Resistance in
the EE settings in the printer driver.
Reset the correct value according to
the steps in Section 3.4.8 Internal
printer settings. If this problem
persists, call for technical assistance.
Verify Head Resistance EE setting is
correct.
Reset the printer and try again.
