Checking Feature Selections Before Printing: Mode Check
Before printing, you can display the Mode Check Screen to check the feature selections you made. This is a
convenient and cost effective way for making a large amount of copies.

In this checking procedure, you can change all settings except the tray setting, for the original is not yet
scanned.

Proof copy becomes available when the original is loaded or scanned using [Separate Scan].

Position the original.

Make the desired job selections from the Copy Screen.

Press Mode Check on the control panel.
% You can also make the job selections from the Mode Check
Screen displayed by pressing Mode Check at the start.
The Mode Check Screen will be displayed.

Review the job settings.
% Depending on the selected output settings or application functions, scroll keys appear at the bottom
of each area. Press the keys to check all the settings.
If no setting change is desired, proceed to step 7.

Change the settings as required.
% Some settings cannot be changed depending on the combination of selections.

Description
Press the tray key available for change. [Auto (Auto Paper)] and [Ro-
tation (Image Rotation OFF)] at the upper-right of the screen also al-
low the setting change for each. Tray setting cannot be changed from
this screen.
Press [Set Number], and then enter the desired print quantity from the
control panel keypad.
Pressing [Print Side] will display the screen to change the simplex/du-
plex mode. Change the setting as desired, then press [OK].
