6.5 Simplex/Duplex Setting

Select [1->2] copy mode.
The [Separate Scan] key will be automatically selected on the screen.
NOTICE
Do not press Reset on the control panel at this point, otherwise the machine will be disabled for scan-
ning the original placed on the original glass.

Specify the direction of the original.
% Select a key provided under [Direction] according to the orientation of the original in place.
% See page 6-2 for details of [Direction].

Specify the bind direction of double-sided copies.
% Press [Output Setting] on the Copy Screen to display the Output Setting Screen.
Press the desired bind direction key provided under [Bind Direction].
Press [OK] to complete the setting and return to the Copy Screen.
% See page 8-8 for [Bind Direction] in the Output Setting.

Select additional copy conditions, as desired.

Press Start on the control panel.
The front side image of the double-sided copy will be scanned into memory.

Replace the original on the original glass with that of the back side image, then press Start on the con-
trol panel.

When scanning is completed, press [Scan Complete] on the dialog.

Press Start on the control panel.
