4.4 Positioning the Original
NOTICE
Do not set originals that are bound with staples or paper clips. It could make original become dirty or rip.
Do not load more than 100 sheets of the original or over the limit line indicated on the paper guides;
otherwise the original may be misfed or damaged, or machine trouble may be caused.

Adjust paper guides to the original.
NOTICE
Do not open the ADF once you close the ADF. The selected
copy conditions may be altered automatically.
To position the original in Z-Folded Original mode
The Z-Folded Original mode reliably detects the size of z-folded originals, which is usually hard to detect, by
automatically sending a sheet at a time.

Arrange the original in order.

Position the original FACE UP (with page one UP).
Up to 100 sheets of the original can be set at a time.

Positioning the Original on Original Glass

Use the original glass when the original is not suitable for use with the ADF, e.g., when size is incompatible,
or when the original is folded, stapled, torn, or in generally poor condition.
