De-registering (de-authorising) a
mobile phone

Mercedes-Benz recommends de-authori-
sation in COMAND and on the mobile
phone. Subsequent authorisation may oth-
erwise fail.

Press the % function button on
COMAND.

Select
menu by sliding VÆ and turning cVd the
COMAND controller and press W to con-
firm.

Bluetooth telephones
Select
W to confirm.

Select the desired mobile phone in the

Bluetooth
telephones list.

Select the list symbol to the right of the
entry by sliding VY the COMAND control-
ler and press W to confirm.

De-authorise
Select
firm.
A prompt appears asking whether you
really wish to revoke authorisation for this
device.

Yes
or No.
Select
If you select Yes, the device will be deleted
from the Bluetooth
If you select No, the process will be aborted.

Before re-authorising the mobile phone,
you should also delete the device name
Bluetooth
from your mobile phone's Blue-

tooth
list.

Bars ; display the current signal strength
of the mobile phone network. If all the bars
are filled, you have optimum reception. If
all the bars are empty, there is very poor
reception or none at all.
Receiver icon = shows whether a call is
active/being connected ¡ or not ¢.
SMS display in telephone basic menu

The
menu item is available if the Blue-

tooth
telephone supports the MAP Blue-
®
tooth
profile (Message Access Profile) and
the text message has been downloaded from

the Bluetooth
telephone. The menu item is
otherwise greyed out and is not available.
The 1 mail icon is displayed when you have
an unread text message. The symbol disap-
pears once you have read the text message.
