Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Indication
NOTE: This operation can also be done with the Honda PGM Tester.
1. Connect the SCS service connector to the service check connector (2P) located under the glove box.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II) without the brake pedal depressed.
NOTE: If the brake pedal is depressed when turning the ignition switch ON (II), the system shifts to the DTC clearing
mode.
3. The ABS indicator comes on for about two seconds and goes off. Then it will indicate the DTC.
NOTE:
• If the DTC is not memorized, the ABS indicator will go off for 3.6 seconds, and then come back on.
• If the ABS indicator continues on, troubleshoot for "ABS indicator does not go off" (see page 19-15).
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and remove the SCS service connector.
NOTE: The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will stay on after the engine is started if the SCS service connector is con-
nected.
Conditions for DTC indication
• Vehicle speed is 6 mph (10 km/h) or less.
• The SCS service connector is connected before the ignition switch is turned ON (II).
• The brake pedal is released.
