Troubleshooting Procedures
ECM Replacement
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Jump the SCS line with the HDS (Honda Diagnostic
System).
3. Remove the bulkhead (1) then (2).
4. Disconnect the connectors from the ECM mounting
bracket. Disconnect the ECM connectors (A) from
the ECM.
5. Remove the bolts (B), the remove the ECM (C).
6. Install the ECM in the reverse order of removal.
7. Open the SCS with the HDS.
8. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
9. Input the VIN to the ECM with the HDS.
10. Reset the ECM with the HDS.
