Updating Contact Directory
You can ad d a contact to the Contact Directory, or upd ate or d elete an existing
contact.
Adding Contact Directory Entries
You can ad d contacts to your Contact Directory in the follow ing w ays:
Manu ally (if you have perm ission to upd ate you r Contact Directory).
From a call list.
From a Corp orate Directory (if this is set up on you r p hone).
T o add a Contact Directory entry manually:
1. Press
2. From the Directory screen, press the Ad d soft key.
3. From the Ad d To Directory screen, enter the contact inform ation:
Your phone may not display all the following fields. For more information, see your
system administrator.
Note
— (Optional.) Enter the First N am e and Last N am e of the contact.
You can enter a m axim u m of 32 characters.
— (Requ ired .) Enter the Contact p hone nu m ber.
You can enter a m axim u m of 128 characters. The phone num ber m ust
be u niqu e, and m u st not alread y exist in the d irectory. If you save an
entry w ith a non-uniqu e phone nu m ber, the entry w ill not be saved .
— (Optional.) Upd ate the Speed Dial Ind ex nu m ber.
The speed d ial ind ex nu m ber is au tom atically assigned to the next
available ind ex valu e, up to a m axim u m value of 9999. You can assign
any u nused speed d ial ind ex num ber from 1 to 9999.
If you assign a sp eed d ial ind ex nu m ber that is alread y taken, the
m essage Speed dial index already exists d isplays. If you enter an invalid
sp eed d ial ind ex num ber (for exam ple, 0 or 00), the m essage Speed dial
index is invalid d isplays.
— (Optional.) Enter a Label for the contact.
You can enter a m axim u m of 32 characters.
