T urning the Time and Date Display Off and On

You can tu rn the tim e and d ate d isplay off so the tim e and d ate d on't d isp lay
on the id le screen.
T o turn the time and date display off:
1. Press
Tim e an d D ate.
2. From the Tim e and Date screen, scroll to D isab le, and then press

Changing the Screen Contrast

You can set how light or d ark the screen app ears.
T o adjust the contrast on the phone screen:
1. Press
2. From the Contrast screen, press the Up or D ow n soft keys to increase or
d ecrease the d isplay contrast.
3. Press the O k soft key.

Updating the Backlight

You r p hone's backlight has tw o com p onents:
Back ligh t In ten sity—The brightness of the screen d u ring p hone activity
and inactivity. Backlight intensity has three settings:
— Back ligh t O n —The brightness of the screen w hen there is phone
activity.
— Back ligh t Id le—The brightness of the screen w hen there is no phone
activity.
— M axim u m In ten sity—The brightness scale that ap plies to both
Backlight On and Backlight Id le intensities.
