Changing the Time and Date Display

The tim e and d ate ap p ear on the id le screen of you r phone. If the phone can't
obtain a tim e and d ate, the d isp lay w ill flash. If this hap pens, or if the tim e or
d ate is incorrect, see your system ad m inistrator.
You can select from various form ats for the tim e and d ate d isp lay, inclu d ing
w hether the tim e or date d isp lays first (clock ord er). You can also tu rn the tim e
and d ate d isplay off, so the tim e and d ate d oesn't d isp lay on the id le screen.
Select and set op tions that are right for you.

Changing the Time and Date Format

You can change the w ay the d ate and tim e d isplay on the idle screen. For
exam ple, for the d ate, you can d isplay the m onth before the d ay, choose the
abbreviated form s for the m onth and d ay, or choose the DD/ MM/ YY form at.
For the tim e, you can choose either the 12-hou r clock (for exam ple, 4:35 PM) or
24-hou r clock (for exam ple, 16:35) notation.
T o change the format of the time and date display:
1. Press
Tim e an d D ate.
2. From the Tim e and Date screen, d o one of the follow ing:
— To change the d ate form at, press

— To change the tim e form at, scroll to Clock Tim e, and then press
3. From the Clock Date screen or the Clock Tim e screen, scroll to the d ate or
tim e form at you w ant, and then press
form ats Monday, January 1 and 12 AM/PM.

Changing the Time and Date Order

You can change the ord er of the tim e and d ate on the id le screen. For exam p le,
you can d isplay the d ate before the tim e, or the tim e before the d ate.
T o change the order of the time and date display:
1. Press
Tim e an d D ate > Clock O rd er.
2. From the Clock Ord er screen, scroll to the clock ord er you w ant, and then
