About Your User Password

You are assigned a user passw ord so you can answ er calls from your locked
phone and unlock the phone. By d efault, your u ser p assw ord is 123. You can
change you r u ser passw ord at any tim e.
T o change your user password:
1. From the id le screen, press
2. From the Passw ord screen, enter your user passw ord , and then press the
En ter soft key.
3. From the Ad vanced screen, select Ch an ge User Passw ord .
4. From the Change User Passw ord screen, enter you r p assw ord
inform ation, and p ress the En ter soft key.

Locking and Unlocking Your Phone

You can choose how you w ant your phone to hand le incom ing calls w hen it is
locked . If you set u p you r phone to allow incom ing calls w hen it is locked (the
d efau lt setting), incom ing calls w ill ring on you r p hone, and you can answ er
calls by entering your user passw ord . If you set u p you r phone to ignore
incom ing calls, Do N ot Distu rb w ill be ap p lied to all lines on your phone, and
you r phone w on't ring.
T o lock your phone:
1. On the id le screen, press
Lock Ph on e.
2. From the Lock Phone screen, select how you w ant incom ing calls hand led
w hen you r phone is locked .
— Allow rin gin g w h en lock ed —Select this option if you w ant your
p hone to ring w hen you have an incom ing call. If you choose this
option, you can answ er a call by entering you r p assw ord .
— D N D w h en lock ed —Select this option if you d on't w ant your p hone
to ring. You w on't have the option to answ er incom ing calls. All
incom ing calls w ill go to your voicem ail system (if enabled ) and
d isplay in your Missed Calls list. N ote that enabling this option on
shared lines d isables ringing only. You w ill still see a visual
notification of the call and have the option to answ er it.
The d efault setting is Allow ringing when locked.
3. Press the Lock soft key.
