End-User License Agreement for Polycom
This End -User License Agreem ent ("Agreem ent") is a legal agreem ent betw een you (either an ind ivid ual
or a single entity) and Polycom , B.V for the Polycom Softw are Prod uct licensed by Polycom B.V in Eu rop e,
the Mid d le East, Africa, and Asia Pacific or Polycom , Inc., for the Polycom Softw are Prod u ct licensed by
Polycom , Inc. in the rest of the w orld (collectively, "Polycom "). The Softw are Prod u ct inclu d es the
com pu ter softw are inclu d ed herew ith and m ay inclu de associated m ed ia, p rinted m aterials and online or
electronic d ocu m entation ("Softw are Prod u ct"). By clicking 'I agree' or by installing, copying, or otherw ise
using the Softw are Prod u ct, you agree to be bou nd by the term s of this Agreem ent. If you d o not agree to
the term s of this Agreem ent, d o not install or u se the Softw are Prod u ct, and retu rn it to your place of
purchase for a fu ll refu nd .
The Softw are Prod u ct is p rotected by cop yright law s and international cop yright treaties, as w ell as other
intellectu al p rop erty law s and treaties. The Softw are Prod uct is licensed (not sold ) to you , and its u se is
su bject to the term s of this Agreem ent.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE.
Su bject to the term s of this Agreem ent, Polycom grants to you a nonexclu sive license to install and u se the
Softw are Prod u ct inclu d ed w ith the Polycom p rod u ct that incorp orates or u ses the Softw are Prod u ct (the
"Prod uct"). You m ay u se the Softw are Prod u ct only in connection w ith the u se of the Prod uct. You are not
p erm itted to lease, rent, d istribu te or su blicense the Softw are Prod uct or to u se the Softw are Prod uct in a
tim e-sharing arrangem ent or in any other unau thorized m anner. Fu rther, no license is granted to you in
the hu m an read able cod e of the Softw are Prod u ct (sou rce cod e). Excep t as provid ed below , this License
Agreem ent d oes not grant you any rights to p atents, cop yrights, trad e secrets, trad em arks, or any other
rights in resp ect to the Softw are Prod u ct.
2. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMIT ATIONS.
2.1 Lim itation s on Reverse En gin eerin g, D ecom p ilation , an d D isassem b ly. You m ay not reverse
engineer, d ecom p ile, or d isassem ble the Softw are Prod u ct, excep t and only to the extent that su ch activity
is exp ressly p erm itted by ap p licable law notw ithstand ing this lim itation. The Softw are Prod u ct is licensed
as a single p rod u ct. Its com p onent p arts m ay not be sep arated for u se on m ore than one Prod u ct.
2.2 Back u p . Excep t as exp ressly provid ed for u nd er this Agreem ent, you m ay not cop y the Softw are
Prod u ct, excep t, how ever, you m ay keep one cop y of the Softw are Prod u ct and , if applicable, one copy of
any previou s version for back-u p p u rp oses, only to be u sed in the event of failure of the original. All
cop ies of the Softw are Prod u ct m u st be m arked w ith the proprietary notices provid ed on the original
Softw are Prod u ct. You m ay not rep rod u ce the su p p orting d ocu m entation accom p anying the Softw are
Prod u ct.
2.3 M od ification s. You m ay not m od ify, translate, or create d erivative w orks of the Softw are Prod uct.
2.4 Prop rietary N otices. You m ay not rem ove or obscu re any p roprietary notices on or in the Softw are
Prod uct or the su p p orting d ocu m entation.
2.5 Softw are Tran sfer. You m ay p erm anently transfer all of you r rights u nd er this Agreem ent p rovid ed
you retain no cop ies, you transfer all of the Softw are Prod u ct (inclu d ing all com ponent parts, the m ed ia,
any printed m aterials, any u pgrad es, this Agreem ent, and , if ap plicable, the Certificate of Au thenticity),
and any recip ient agrees to the term s of this Agreem ent. If the Softw are Prod uct is an upgrad e, any
transfer m u st inclu d e all p rior versions of the Softw are Prod u ct. H ow ever, if the Softw are Prod u ct is
m arked "N ot for Resale" or "N FR," you m ay not resell it or otherw ise transfer it for value.
