Configuring Your Phone Using the Polycom Web Configuration Utility
This u ser guid e explains how to upd ate phone settings from you r p hone, u sing
you r p hone's m enu system . If you w ant, you can u p d ate these settings
rem otely w ith the Polycom Web Configu ration Utility.
The p hone's Web Configu ration Utility enables you to view and configure
phone behavior from a com puter u sing any com patible Web brow ser. The
u tility p rovid es a brow ser-friend ly view of your phone's cu rrent settings.
Using the u tility, you can perform m any of the sam e u pd ates from your
com p u ter that you can perform using your phone's m enu system or
configu ration files.
You can access the u tility u sing any com patible Web brow ser installed on a
com p u ter that resid es on the sam e netw ork as you r phone. Before you begin,
you'll need to know the IP ad d ress of your phone, and the login passw ord of
the p hone user.

T o access the Web Configuration Utility for your phone:
1. Lau nch a com patible Web brow ser from a com p u ter on the sam e netw ork
as you r phone.
2. In the Ad d ress Bar of your Web Brow ser, enter the IP ad dress of your
p hone.
The IP ad d ress is com prised of four sets of num bers sep arated by period s.
For exam ple, if you r phone's IP ad d ress is 123.22.3.4, enter 123.22.3.4 in the
ad d ress bar.
3. Press the En ter key.
4. From the Web Configuration Utility login screen, select User, and then
enter the User passw ord.
The factory d efault passw ord for a u ser is 123.
5. Click Su b m it.
The Web Configu ration Utility H om e screen is d isp layed .
