About lighting objects

Lighting objects are objects that can be played back on the playbacks or crossfader.
These objects include:
Scenes
Chases and chase steps
QLists and cues
Note that scenes are stand alone objects, while (chase) steps, and cues are contained in chases and
QLists respectively.
Scenes, chase steps, and cues share common attributes. Chases have unique attributes for flexible
and accurate playback.
Overall fade times, the amount of time it takes for the lighting object to reach its maximum limit,
can be set for scenes, steps, cues, and chases.Individual parameters, within scenes, (chase) steps,
and cues, can have unique fade times.
Fixtures and their parameters, that are active in the editor, are stored in scenes, steps, and cues.
There are a number of store options that grab output from the faders, playbacks, and crossfader
when storing a lighting object.
Note:
See "Programming chases and chase steps" on page 76.
See "Using store options" on page 155.
This chapter contains programming instructions specific to each lighting object
(scenes, cues, and chase steps). However, there are many procedures that are
common to all lighting objects. The common procedures start from
overwriting lighting
objects.
See "Setting fade times" on page 92.
