It is strongly recommended that you keep your router firmware up to date with the latest
version in order to have all of the latest security and feature improvements.
Always obtain firmware from official sources, i.e. (for UK/Ireland users).
There are two firmware file types:
.all - upgrade retaining all previous settings
.rst - upgrade and reset to factory default
It is recommended to take a configuration backup prior to upgrading the firmware.VIII-1-16
