VTEC Solenoid Valve
2. Measure resistance between the terminal and body
g r o u n o .
Resistance: 14 - 30 O
lf the resistance is within specifications, remove the
V T E C s o l e n o i d v a l v e a s s e m b l y f r o m t h e c y l i n d e r
head. and check the VTEC solenoid valve filter for
c l o g g r n g .
. l f t h e r e i s c l o g g i n g , r e p l a c e t h e e n g i n e o i l f i l t e r
a n d t h e e n g i n e o i l .
VTEC SOLENOID VALVE ASSEMBLY
Inspection
'1. Disconnect
the
'lP
connector from the VTEC sole-
noid valve.
VTEC SOLENOID
VALVE FILTER
Replace.
6 x 1 . 0 m m
12 N.m {1.2 ksf.m,8.7 lbf.tr}

If the filter is not clogged, push the VTEC solenoid
valve with your finger and check its movement.
. lf the VTEC solenoid valve is normal, check the
engine oil pressure.
