The special function X-PLORE*

By means of the special function X-PLORE you can further
distinguish the organic objects displayed in orange color
PLUS
in the HI-MAT
color image.
You can have displayed the materials with the effective
atomic weight Z
of 7, 8 or 9 (F 1-61) one after another.

The image display becomes a black and white image; only
the image parts representing materials of selected effect-
ive atomic weight will be displayed in red.
 You select the function with
materials with the effective atomic weight Z
last time appears.

higher and lower atomic weights.

If materials are covered by materials with different
atomic weights, e.g. by the container in which the
material is packed, the effective atomic weight is
changed! When evaluating the image, you should
therefore prefer to regard those parts of the X-ray
image, which do not show overlying objects.

The image displays with Superenhancement* - SEN*

For the above mentioned image display modes black/white, HI-MAT
(PLUS)
ping
* and X-PLORE* you can obtain an optimum contrast over the whole X-ray image when using Super-
enhancement. Low-absorbing objects in bright image sections (e.g. clothes) as well as objects in dark image
sections (hidden below high-absorbing objects) are made visible at the same time.
By means of electronic real time image processing, the contrast enhancement is calculated automatically for
every single image section. An X-ray image with highest detail resolution is obtained. The detectability of in-
dividual objects such as plastic arms, explosives and drugs is considerably improved.
Objects of lower density can be easily recognized even if such objects are hidden between metal plates. High
penetration and, at the same time, high resolution are achieved.
 Depending on the unit's configuration you can select the Superenhancement display mode via
