How to use the ZIP*, RIDA* and CD/DVD* drive and the USB interface*
 After the transmission is done you can remove the CD.

The external CD drive*

With the external drive data and images can only be read.
 Switch off the unit and wait until all indicators on the
keyboard have extinguished.
 Hang the support for the CD drive into the opening of
the access lid and place the drive on it. Insert the plug
of the drive's cable into the illustrated socket.
 Switch on the X-ray unit again. Insert and remove CDs
after actuating the key on the front side of the drive.

The USB interface*

 On the left plug X56 of the USB interface you can con-
nect conventional USB memories* like USB sticks* or
USB hard disks* of the standards USB 1.1 and USB
2.0. For USB 2.0 units the higher transfer rate of this
standard is supported. For unit type HI-SCAN 6030di
the plug on the unit's housing corresponds to the left
plug X56.

Attention!
If a bootable operating system is installed on
your USB memory, under no circumstances
connect it to the right plug X55! Not bootable
memories can be connected there; however,
only the slower USB 1.1 standard is suppor-
ted. When in doubt, always use the left plug
X56!

The connecting plug of the CD drive may
only be plugged in and pulled off when
the X-ray unit is switched off!
