How to control the scanning process

S
Attention!
If the HI-SCAN X-ray unit is equipped with one of the options Full-reverse mode*, Reverse
scanning*, Continuous scanning*, Second conveyor control*, contact mat*, attendance detector*,
safety switches* at the conveyor ends and/or the tunnel entrances and exits (conveyor end or over-
size detectors*), or if the X-ray inspection unit is integrated into a baggage handling system, the
X-ray unit works differently from the standard operation described in the following! Read the para-
graphs dealing with the options ( F 1-52) before you carry out a scan!
Depending on the setting the X-ray unit works in the one-
way or automatic return mode*.
You recognize the conventional one-way mode by one of the adjacent arrows in
the indication field on the screen (F 1-25).
In the one-way mode the objects to be scanned are placed
on the conveyor at the tunnel entrance, they are then con-
veyed through the tunnel and scanned. The objects then
run out at the tunnel exit.
I
This operating mode facilitates the fast examina-
tion of many objects.
