How to start and terminate your work

How to remove the tunnel covers*

 Insert the key into the covers' locks one after another and turn it to the
right until the bolt comes out. To withdraw the key, turn it to the left
again.
 Afterwards you can take off the covers.

How to connect the X-ray unit to the mains

With the exception of mobile X-ray inspection units* (see
following paragraph) the X-ray inspection unit will be con-
nected to a mains outlet by the technician carrying out the
installation. Adhere to the following instructions if you do
the connection yourself.
 If the X-ray unit has already been connected and you
want to disconnect it, make sure in advance that the
unit has been shut down completely, i.e. no indicator
lights up on the keyboard any more!

An X-ray inspection unit which is not
provided for mobile use requires special
settings after a change of site. Such set-
tings can only be carried out by a quali-
fied technician!

If the unit has not yet completely
switched off, first follow the instructions
in paragraph "How to switch off"
(F 1-41).
