Replacing Cards
To replace the plug-in card, follow the steps in
Figure
5-2.
Procedure 5-1. Replacing Cards
Step
1.
Put on an ESD wrist strap.
2.
Plug the ESD wrist strap into the ESD jack on of the front panel of the shelf.
3.
Loosen the two retaining screws that secure the plug-in card in the shelf.
4.
Pull out on the two latching levers to disconnect the card from the shelf connectors.

Meaning
The quality level of the
signal detected on the
specified span is PRS.
The signal on the specified
span input has degraded to
an SSM quality level of
SEC.
The signal on the specified
span input has degraded to
an SSM quality level of
SSUL.
The signal on the specified
span input has degraded to
an SSM quality level of
SSUT.
A temperature error has
been detected on the
internal oscillator.
Procedure
On the Faulty Card
Action
Make note of the specified input
span.
Troubleshoot the specified input
span (check the source).
Becomes minor alarm after 24 h.
Troubleshoot the specified input
span (check the source).
Becomes minor alarm after 24 h.
Troubleshoot the specified input
span (check the source).
Becomes minor alarm after 24 h.
Wait until this escalates to a minor
alarm, or check that the ambient air
temperature is within the
TimeSource 3600 environmental
specifications. If not, correct the
ambient temperature with heating or
air conditioning.
