The exposure switch can be mounted on the wall, or it can
be hung from the hook provided on the stationary column
top if a protected area is within reach.
On the exposure button and on the control panel a green
indicator light will come on when the unit is correctly set
up and ready to take an exposure. Additionally, the word
READY will stop flashing on the control panel display.
An amber indicator light will come on on the exposure
switch and on the control panel when you take an
exposure. It indicates that the unit is generating radiation.
You will also hear a radiation warning signal.
When you take an exposure you must press and hold
down the exposure button for the whole duration of the
exposure.
If you remove your thumb from the exposure button
before the exposure cycle is completed radiation will be
interrupted, the C-arm will stop moving and a help
message will appear on the control panel display. Guide
the patient away from the X-ray unit. Then clear the help
message by touching OK.
