Taking a scout image or 2D views (Lat-PA, Lat or PA)

When the C-arm has completed the exposure cycle(s)
you can guide the patient from the X-ray unit.
The image will show on the computer screen.
If you took several image volumes you must accept the
image stitching function in the Planmeca Romexis
program. Refer to the Romexis User's Manual.
You can set the X-ray unit so that a scout image or 2D
views (Lat-PA, Lat or PA) will be shown on the computer
screen before you take a 3D image. This will allow you to
check the volume position or, if necessary, confirm the
need for a 3D exposure. Refer to section "Default
program settings (i270)" on page 38 for information on
how to activate this function.

new exposure programs, contact your dealer for

The selected setting will be shown on the main display as
follows:
If you selected the second option on display i27.4, the
Scout field will be shown at the bottom of the main
display when you are ready to take an exposure.
If you selected either of the last two options on display
i27.4, the 2D View type field will appear on the main
display. Touching the field repeatedly will cycle
through the available options. Select the view you wish
to use. The selected view will be shown at the bottom
of the display when you are ready to take an exposure.
scout imaging will be available (regardless of the
setting on i27.4). Scout imaging will be available for
the first image volume (1/2 or 1/3) only.
Touch the bottom field (Scout, Lat-PA, Lat or PA) when
you are ready to take the exposure.
Ask the patient to stand as still as possible.
Move to a protected area.
