Selecting exposure settings

NOTE In 3D program Large View 2 vertical the X-ray unit has
to be repositioned between exposures. Refer to
section 13 "3D EXPOSURE IN "LARGE VIEW 2
VERTICAL"" on page 63 for detailed instructions.
Step 3
Step 1: Select the 3D program you wish to use as
described in section 8.2 "Selecting 3D program" on page
22.
Step 2: Specify the volume size and target area as
described in section 8.6 "Selecting target area" on page
24.
NOTE If the X-ray unit has a ProFace sensor, you can take a
3D photo of the patient's face at the same time as you
take an X-ray image. Select Face Scan On to take both
images at the same time.
Step 3: Select the patient size as described in section 8.3
"Selecting patient size" on page 23.
Step 4: Select the image resolution as described in
section 8.8 "Selecting image resolution" on page 30.
The exposure values will automatically change to
correspond with the selected patient size and image
resolution. The preset exposure values are shown in the
following tables.
The preset exposure values are average values and they
are only meant to guide the user. If necessary, you can
change the preset values as described in section 8.4
"Selecting kilovolt and milliampere values" on page 23.
NOTE Always try to minimize the radiation dose to the
patient.
