Replacing the Image Drum

• Do not throw the toner
cartridge or toner into
fire; toner flies and
burn injury may result.
• Some parts inside the
printer are hot. Do not
touch the area around
the CAUTION-HOT
label; burn injury may
result.
• Thoroughly wash away
toner on hands or skins
by using soapy water.
• When dealing with a

paper jam or replacing
the toner cartridge,
be careful not to stain
clothes or hands with
toner. Thoroughly wash
away toner on hands
or skins by using soapy
water.
• Wash away toner on
clothes by using cold
water. When heated
by washing the clothes
with warm water, such
toner may cling to
the clothes, becoming
irremovable.

• Keep the toner cartridge
from flame; it ignites
and burn injury may
result.
• Keep the toner cartridge
out of the reach of
children. If a child
suffers accidental toner
inhalation, immediately
consult a physician.
• If toner gets in an eye,
immediately rinse it
with plenty of water
and, when necessary,
consult a physician.
• Do not disassemble
the toner cartridge;
toner flies, and toner
inhalation or a toner-
stained hand or clothes
may result.
• Do not use electric
vacuum cleaners to
vacuum off spilled
toner; a spark at an
electric contact may
cause ignition. Use a
damp cloth to wipe
toner spilled on a floor.
• If suffering toner
inhalation, gargle with
plenty of water, move
to fresh air and, when
necessary, consult a
physician.
• If ingesting toner, drink
plenty of water to
dilute the toner. When
necessary, consult a
physician.
• Put used toner
cartridges in bags to
prevent toner from
flying out of them.
