Image drum replacement standard

When the image drum reaches the end of its life, the printer
displays a message [ORDER IMAGE DRUM] on the operation
panel. If print continued, the printer shows a message [REPLACE
IMAGE DRUM] and stops printing.
The life expectancy for the image drum is approximately
30,000 pages converted on an A4 size paper basis (landscape
feeding, simplex printing), only if in general use (three pages
per job). If sheet-fed printing is performed, the life of image
drum is approximately reduced by half.
(Approximately 40,500 pages are printed continuously.)

• After displaying [REPLACE IMAGE DRUM], the printer
can still perform printing operation through opening
and closing the top cover. However, after the toner
cartridge runs out of toner, the printer cannot
continue to print.
• The toner is running out after [ORDER IMAGE DRUM]
shows, and the message becomes [IMAGE DRUM
LIFE] after 500 pages or less is printed. The printer
may fairly infrequently produce lighter print images
before a message [IMAGE DRUM LIFE] is displayed,
depending on the condition of usage.
• Use genuine Oki Data original consumables to ensure
optimum performance of the product.
• When using a non genuine Oki Data original
consumable, the product may not deliver its optimum
performance, and print quality may decline.
Warranty does not apply if the troubles arise with
use of a non genuine Oki Data original consumable.
You need to pay for repairs even during the warranty
period. (Non genuine Oki Data original consumables
may cause a trouble when used for the product, note
this enough in use of them.)

Replace the image drum

Press OPEN button, and open the
top cover.
The fuser is extremely hot after the printer is used. Do
not touch it.

Remove the image drum.
Hold the top of image drum at its central
part, and remove it from the printer with the
toner cartridge.
When handling used image drum and toner cartridge, put
them into plastic bags and discard them in accordance
with relevant local regulations.
Do not throw the image drum and the
toner cartridge into fire; toner flies
and burn injury may result.
