Prepare a new image drum.
• Do not tilt the image drum; toner may spill.
Note!
• The image drum (the green tube) is very delicate.
Handle it with enough care.
• Do not expose the image drum to direct sunlight or
brighter interior light (approximately 1,500 lux or
more). Do not leave the image drum under normal
interior light for 5 minutes or more.
Put the new drum on the newspaper.

Install the new toner cartridge to the drum.
You can install a used toner cartridge. It is recommended a

new toner cartridge used under the following conditions.
• The toner cartridge may affect print quality
one year or more after they are unpacked.
• Since the new image drum does not have toner, fill
the toner from the installed toner cartridge.When the
installed toner cartridge has small amounts of toner in
it, a message [REPLACE TONER] shows immediately.
• When a used toner cartridge is installed, the toner
margin displayed before "ORDER TONER" shows
may be incorrect.
Unpack the new toner cartridge.
Hold the toner cartridge at both ends to
gently shake it for several times.
Place the toner cartridge horizontally and
slightly remove the tape from it.
Take out the toner cartridge cover.
Bulge Section
Insert the toner cartridge hole into the image
drum dowel pin with tape side down.
Firmly press the grooves at the right side
of the toner cartridge against the bulge
section of toner cartridge.
Place the toner cartridge release lever in
the direction of the arrow until it stops.
