Setting Up on Windows with a Network Connection
Setup Flow
Set IP address for printer.(For more information, please refer to
Install the printer driver and Standard TCP/IP Port from the DVD-ROM
supplied with the printer and configure the network printer.
Setting Up
The description below uses the following
environment as an example:
Windows
: Windows 7 Home Premium Edition
Printer:
: B840dn
IP Address:
: 192.168.0.3 (Computer *),
192.168.0.2 (Printer)
Subnet Mask
: 255.255.255.0
Gateway Address : 192.168.0.1
* Consult your network administrator for the IP
address.

Be sure that the printer is connected to your
computer and turned on, and then insert
Software DVD-ROM into the computer.

Click [setup.exe] when [Autorun] is
displayed.
Click [OK] when the [User Account Control]
dialog box appears.(Click [Continue] in
Windows Vista.

Select the model and click [Next].

Read the license agreement and click
[I Agree].

Select [Easy Installation (Network)] under
[Driver Installation].
[Easy Installation (Network)] installs all drivers for
Memo
operating system you use. To choose manually
a driver to install; install a shared printer; or
use OKI LPR Utility for printing: select [Custom
Installation(Printer)], and follow the instructions
on your screen.

Click [Next].
A device search starts.
When the printer is detected:
Installation automatically starts. Go to

[Installation settings] screen is displayed.
