Setting media weight
Here the setting procedure when printing on plain
paper (ream weight 90kg paper) from Tray1 (set
[TRAY1MEDIAWEIGHT] to [M HEAVY]).

Check that [ONLINE] is displayed on the
operator panel.

times to display [MEDIA MENU] and then
press the ENTER

Press the

times to display [TRAY1MEDIAWEIGHT]
and then press the ENTER

After the current setting value blinks,
press the
value you want to set and then press the
ENTER
Add [ ＊ ] to the right side of the setting value.

• The setting of "Tray1 Media weight" can be set
Memo
in [Media Weight] of the printer driver. When
setting by the printer driver, the setting of the
printer driver takes priority.
• No setting is required for envelope.
• Media weight should be set for each tray to feed
paper.

Setting media type

• When the media type has been set in the printer
Memo
driver, you do not need to set the following items
on the operator panel.
• The factory default of the media type is
[Standard]. When printing in the plain paper, you
don't need to set to directly use it.
• The media type should be set for each tray to
feed paper.
• Make sure to set the media type for labels.
• No setting is required for postcard and envelope.
Here, the setting procedure when printing on
labels from the multi-purpose tray (Set [MPT
MEDIATYPE] to [LABELS].) is described.
