Set Print Media

Pull out the paper cassette (the tray 1).
• The paper cassette stops at a predetermined

position when pulled out of the printer.
• To remove the paper cassette from the printer,
pull it out, lifting its front.
Adjust the paper guides and the paper
stopper to the size of the paper to load, and
securely fix them.
Put the rear of the paper cassette out of the
Memo
printer when the paper in tray 1 is larger than A4
(page
62).
Do not remove the cork attached to the Metal plate.

Fan the paper and tap the edges of the stack
to make it flush.
Load the paper face down.

• Pull out the paper cassette and load the paper.
Note!
• Do not press the paper (rear) stopper strongly so as to bend
the paper.
• The paper should loaded so as not to exceed the mark

" indicated on each of the paper guides
(approximately 530 sheets of 80-g/m
mm in total stacking depth).
• When the print side or face side is indicated on the
paper package, load the paper face down into the
printer. If unmarked, load the paper with unpacked
side down into the printer.
Be sure the paper guides and the paper are properly
aligned.
Set the size of the paper on the paper size dial.

Put the paper cassette back into the printer.

When the size of the paper is standard, but not on
the paper size dial, set it to 'other' on the paper size
dial, and select the size for [TRAYn OTHER SIZE]
from [MEDIA MENU] on the printer.

When the metal plate under paper is lifted, press it
until it clicks. Then return the paper cassette to the
printer. If returning it to the printer with the metal
plate lifted, that may cause failures.
