iSeries Marketing Configurator does not support the configuration of these towers.

i5/OS on pSeries

The iSeries operating system i5/OS V5R3 is now available to be run on Eserver
p5 servers. i5/OS is architected as a single entity. This means that facilities such
as relational database, communications and networking capabilities, online help,
Web enablement technologies, easy enterprise management, and much more
are fully integrated into the operating system and the machine. The user
communicates with all components of i5/OS using a single command language
Control Language (CL) or administers and manages the system using a GUI.
The 9411-100 Eserver p5 I/O Subsystem for i5/OS provides the I/O for any
i5/OS partitions running on a 1.65GHz Eserver p5 570, 590, or 595 server.
From an IBM marketing configurator view, i5/OS support on the pSeries is like
having a machine type for a subsystem, and each tower, drawer, adapter, and
DASD is a feature of the subsystem machine type.
The 9411-100 Eserver p5 I/O subsystem for i5/OS allows Eserver p5 model
customers to consolidate i5/OS workloads onto their server. Consolidation can
potentially reduce the costs associated with installing, operating, and maintaining
numerous different computer systems and preserve investment in AIX 5L and
i5/OS applications, hardware, operations, and end-user skill and knowledge.
