iSeries Model 825
Chapter 12.
The iSeries 825 is a powerful server that is designed
for medium to large enterprises that need high
versatility in a world of on demand business. The
Model 825 supports multiple operating environments
and can run a variety of applications simultaneously.
It provides excellent scalability and large input/output
(I/O) capacity for server consolidation. Capacity on
demand capabilities and a choice of Editions provide
outstanding flexibility to respond to changing
business needs.
The Model 825 is offered as a deskside tower. It
provides space for fifteen disks attached with a Small Computer System Interface
(SCSI) controller. An optional redundant power supply is available. Hot-plugging
is supported for PCI-X card slots, disk slots, and redundant fans. It can attach
Integrated xSeries Adapters. Hot-plugging of removable media devices is not
supported.
