required in the #0553 for each iSeries and i5 system unit and expansion towers.
Mixing of different system models within a single #0553 is not allowed on initial
order systems.
The #0553 can support up to nine power distribution units (PDU), four mounted
vertically and five mounted horizontally. The PDUs may be ordered on initial
orders, model upgrades, or on MES orders. Each #5160, #5161, #5162 and
#5163 PDU has six power sockets and the #7188 PDU has 12 power sockets
that can be used to provide power for devices rack mounted in the #0553 iSeries
rack using the #1422 or #6458 PDU Line Cord. Only #7188 PDUs can be mixed
with other PDU features, otherwise, no mixing of PDU features within a #0553 or
on a system is allowed. Horizontally mounted PDUs occupy 1EIA of rack space.
