2. If the compute node is installed in a NeXtScale n1200 Enclosure, remove it (see "Removing a compute
node from a chassis" on page 104 for instructions).
3. Carefully lay the compute node on a flat, static-protective surface, orienting the compute node with
the bezel pointing toward you.
This component can be installed as an optional device or as a CRU. The installation procedure is the same
for the optional device and the CRU.
To install the USB flash drive, complete the following steps.

Step 1. Remove the cover (see "Removing the compute node cover" on page 113).
Step 2. Locate the USB connector on the system-board (see "System-board internal connectors" on
page 22).
Step 3. Push the USB flash drive into the connector.
