IQRAP 2: Black Print After
Scanning
See Parts List 1.1.
An entirely black print of a scanned
document is indicitive of a scanner CIS
assembly problem.
1. Power on the unit.
2. Check the voltage between pin 3
(+5.0 VDC) and pin 2 (GND) on
scanner relay board connector CIS
(see Figure 3-3). Voltage should be
+5.0 VDC.
Result:Voltage reading is within
specifications?
No: Perform

Yes: Continue with Step 3.
3. Check the voltage between pin 10
(+5.0 VDC) and pin 2 (GND) on
scanner relay board connector J3.
Result: Voltage is between 4.75
VDC and 5.25 VDC?
No: Perform

Yes: Continue with Step 4.

4. Check the voltage between pin 4
(-12.0 VDC) and pin 5 (GND) on scanner relay board
connector J3.
Result: Voltage is between -12.6 VDC and -11.4 VDC?
No: Perform
Yes: Replace the CIS assembly
