RAP 3.2: Media Misfeed in
Printer
This RAP will help isolate media feed
problems in the printer.
If paper or other media is not feeding or
partially feeding into the printer, check for
the following:
• the proper media being used is designed
for use with the WorkCentre 450c/450cp
• the paper tray is properly installed and
the latches are not broken. If a latch
needs replacement, go to REP 2.1.20:
Printer Cassette Latch on page 4-26
• worn or dirty retard pad
• damaged or dirty paper feed roller
Correct any of these problems if they exist.
If media still misfeeds in the printer,
replace the paper cassette.
If this does not correct the problem, replace
the printer (REP 2.1.18: Printer Assembly
on page 4-24)
If media is simply passing through the
printer without stopping, go to RAP 3.5:
Paper Path Sensor on page 2-21.
