ADJ 2.1: Printhead Alignment

In the test pattern, each vertical line is formed by
three short lines. If the three lines are properly
aligned, perfectly straight lines will be printed.
Perform this procedure to ensure the vertical print
alignment is within specification.
1. Disconnect electrical power from the
printer for at least 10 seconds.
2. Load paper into the paper tray.
3. Print the Bi-Directional Printing Alignment
Test Pattern (Figure 4-50). Press MENU, 6,
ENTER, 4, ENTER.
4. Examine the vertical alignment test print.
Choose the best alignment pattern.
5. Use the LEFT or RIGHT keys to display the
index number of the best vertical alignment
pattern.
6. Press ENTER.
