Operating in Chemical Ionization (CI) Mode

Materials needed
• Octafluoronaphthalene (OFN), 100 fg/µL (5188-5347)

Load the NCICH4.U tune file, and accept the temperature setpoints.
Select Gas A and set flow to 40%.
In Tune and Vacuum Control view, run CI Autotune. See

Note that there are no criteria for a "passing" Autotune in CI. If the
Autotune completes, it passes.
Run the NCI sensitivity method: OFN_NCI.M using 2 µL of 100 fg/µL OFN.
Verify that the system conforms to the published sensitivity specification.
