If you still attempt to set up the new model by pres-
sing OK, you will see the following on-screen warning:
No memory free
Press ENTER
If you see this message, please leave the menu. You
cannot store a new model until you have erased a
model which you no longer need ( 19.3.).
b. Template
Under Template you determine the basic model
type which applies to the new model you wish to
set up. Your fundamental choices are Helicopter
and Fixed-wing, and each basic group contains
several model templates.
You must select one of the eight templates for
each new model. The template determines which
basic settings are adopted for the model.
The advantage of using model templates to set up
a new model is that many basic settings are al-
ready carried out for you; all you have to do is fine-
tune the values. For a detailed description of the
model templates please see Chapter ( 21.).
c. Servo conf.
For each make of receiver, the servo configuration
defines the sequence in which the servos must be
connected to the receiver. If you are using
MULTIPLEX equipment, Throttle is servo 4,
Rudder is servo 3, and so on. If you have already
flown the model using a different make of transmit-
ter, the assignment process will be quicker if you
select the appropriate configuration. In menu K,
Assignment, you can change the sequence in any
way you like.
You can choose from any of the following configu-
rations ( 21.3.):
M-PCM
Sequence for M-PCM receivers
MPX-UNI Sequence as MULTIPLEX
Futaba
Sequence as robbe / Futaba
JR
Sequence as Graupner / JR
The signal format is always Universal (servo centre
= 1.5 ms).
d. Mode 1 to 4, variable
The double arrows indicate which sticks are used
to control elevator (è) and rudder (é).
Mode determines the assignment of the primary sticks.
In our example the right-hand stick operates rudder
(é) and elevator (è). This setting can be changed
at any time. Please refer to Chapters ( 12.2.5.)
and ( 13.2.5.).
e. Assignment
You must select one of the five assignment lists
when you set up a new model ( 22.1.).
88
The Assignment determines which of the possible
assignment lists for transmitter controls and switches
is to be used for this model. This setting can be
changed subsequently.
f. OK
Once you have set all the parameters described
above, you must click on the OK field by pressing
the ENTER button or one of the 3-D digi-adjusters
to conclude the set-up procedure for the new model.
The memory now switches automatically to the model
you have just created, and you can immediately start
fine-tuning the settings.

In Fast Response mode, which operates at the ultra-
rapid pulse rate of 14 ms, up to twelve servo channels
are available. This reduced pulse rate can cause ana-
logue servos to oscillate or run jerkily.
If this occurs, or if you need to use the maximum of
sixteen servo channels, it is possible to switch Fast
Response mode OFF on the ROYALevo, ROYAL SX
or ROYAL SX M-LINK transmitter. The pulse rate is
then 21 ms.
Please refer to the notes in the operating instructions
supplied with your ROYAL SX M-LINK transmitter in
this regard.
This is the procedure for switching Fast Response ON
