Tip:
Once you have entered the mechanical values of the
swashplate as Parameters for the Rotor head mixer,
the next step should be to carry out a careful and
thorough calibration of the Head servos; this is carried
out in the menu KServo.Calibrate ( 17.1.). This
step is essential if accurate swashplate control is re-
quired. The direction of servo rotation can be checked
by giving collective pitch commands from the transmit-
ter: if any servo rotates in the wrong direction, you will
need to reverse it (REV). It can be useful to disconnect
the pushrods between the swashplate and the rotor
head for the servo calibration process, as this makes
it easier to calibrate the maximum travels (P1, P5).
The settings for roll, pitch and collective pitch travels
are entered in the menu HControl ( 15.2.).
Tip: Helicopters with Heim mechanics
If you wish to fly a helicopter fitted with the HEIM me-
chanical system, please follow this procedure:
1. Select HELIccpm as template for the new model.
2. Assign Elevator (pitch) to an unused servo
channel.
3. Set Geometry to 90° in the mixer Rotor head..
This means that the servos HEAD le and HEAD ri
are controlled only by the transmitter controls for
Aileron and Elevator (roll and pitch).
4. The servo Head f/b is not required; this channel is
left unused at the receiver.

The menu Monitor shows the information which is
passed on to the servos in graphic or numerical form.

Menu Calibrate

17.1.
In the Calibrate menu you can adjust the travels,
centre and (if required) intermediate points for all ser-
vos in such a way that they move evenly and run to
the end-points required for your model.
Servo list, fixed-wing model
When you open the menu Calibrate, the screen
shows a list of all the servos which can be used with
your transmitter type (9 or 16 servos). You can also
use the 3-D digi-adjuster to select servos 7 to 12,
which are not immediately visible when you open the
Calibrate menu.
17.1.1.

Sub-menus for individual servos

Rotate the 3-D digi-adjuster to select the servo to be
calibrated, then press the 3-D digi-adjuster to open
the Calibration sub-menu.
The sub-menus show the settings for REV/TRM and the
two to five curve points P1 to P5:
Example: Fixed-wing model
Aileron servo
All changes to the parameters REV/TRM and the servo
calibration points P1 ... P5 are immediately reflected
in the diagram, making it quick and easy to check the
overall settings.
Line 1 always shows the name of the servo. Above
the diagram you will see the channel number (receiver
output) for the selected servo.
