Check the timing chain gear / timing chain sprocket

If there is damage or wear:

Replace the timing chain gear / timing chain sprocket.

Check timing chain tensioning rail

If there is damage or wear:

Change the timing chain tensioning rail.

Check timing chain guide rail
»
If there is damage or wear:
–
Change the timing chain guide rail.
–
Check timing chain securing guide
»
If there is damage or wear:
–
Replace the timing chain securing guide.
–
Check timing chain
»
If there is damage or wear:
–
Change the timing chain.
–
Check that the timing chain links move easily. Let the timing chain hang down

If the chain links no longer straighten out:
–
Change the timing chain.
–
Remove screws

Screw a suitable screw

Take off the rocker arm

Clamp the cylinder head.

Remove the large camshaft bearing using the special tool
