VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT
NOTE: ________________________ _
- The valve clearance must be adjusted when
the engine is cool to the touch.
-Adjust the valve clearance when the piston is
at the Top Dead Center(T. D. C.) on compres-
sion stroke.
When removing the spark plug and tappet
covers, use caution to prevent an object from
falling into the engine.
AWARNING
Securely support the motorcycle so there is
no danger of it falling over.
1. Remove:
-Seat
- Side covers
-Air scoops
-Cover(fuel tank)
- Fuel tank
Refer to the "SEAT, FUEL TANK AND
COVER"section.
2. Remove:
- Bolts(ignition coil bracket)

3. Disconnect:
- Leads(ignition coil}

-Plug cap
@
4. Remove:
-Spark plug
-Tappet cover @(intake)
-Tappet cover @(exhaust)
5. Remove:
-Plug
CD
-Plug
