Lock Mobile Unit / Activate Direct Dial

You can lock your mobile unit and thus prevent its unauthorized or unwanted use.
If you have stored and activated a direct dial number, then only this direct dial number can be
dialed (page 73).
If you haven't stored a direct dial number, then you can only receive incoming calls.

Note:
After locking the mobile unit the save key functions only to unlock the mobile unit (within 3
seconds) or to select the direct dial.
If you would like to lock the mobile unit without a direct dial number, you will first need to
delete any existing direct dial numbers (see "View, Delete, Save Direct Dial Numbers" on
page 72).
We recommend that you make a call using the number to verify the entry.

Press the 8 key.
Press the 1 key
Enter mobile unit PIN
(default setting 0000).
Each entered number
replaces a dash in the display.
Press the save key.
The mobile unit is locked.
Display without a direct dial number.
